• Our amenities & accommodations! Prairie Sky is able to seat up to 270 people comfortably indoors, with room to dance. Additionally, Prairie Sky is Gillette’s premier wedding venue complete with air conditioning, heating, indoor restrooms, a prep kitchen, full service liquor bar (not just beer and wine), bridal suite with private bathroom, gentlemen's quarters and 3 beautiful outdoor ceremony spots!  We are who we say we are...we are a beautiful outdoor/indoor facility located in the basin of Northeast Wyoming.  We boast wide open spaces with prairie grass and grand towering Buttes.  Rustic and elegant.  Historic and quaint.  We have a lot of amenities and great people that strive to make your event perfect.  

 Prairie Sky is best suited for guest lists up to 270.  However, we have accommodated guest lists of up to 400.

Our Basic weekday Rental of the venue, including tables & chairs, reception and ceremony set up, full bar service from 9am-11:45pm, cleaning, and staff on site for the event day is $2200. This means all reception spots and our Prairie ceremony spot and chapel as well as bride suite and gentlemen's quarters, prep kitchen and grounds are included in this package.  To see our accommodations click here  

Yes, Our in-season begins in May and ends November 1st. Our out-of-season prices start at $3000,  Which includes including tables & chairs, reception and ceremony set up, full bar service for 6 hours, cleaning, and staff on site for the event day.  All reception spots and our Prairie ceremony spot and chapel as well as bride suite and gentlemen's quarters, prep kitchen and grounds are included in this package.  To see our accommodations click here  

Yes, we love our tiny weddings!  Monday through Thursday we offer a $1500 package.  This package is for weddings with guests lists under 60.  It includes tables & chairs, reception and ceremony set up, full bar service for 6 hours, cleaning, and staff on site for the event day.  All reception spots and our Prairie ceremony spot and chapel as well as bride suite and gentlemen's quarters, prep kitchen and grounds are included in this package.  For additional guests over 60 it is $7. With all of our packages we offer photos at the Homestead.  Located 1 1/2 miles south of the venue is our 70 acre ranch.  Complete with a 2 room school house, patina'd red barn, 1800's homestead house, 1900's farmhouse and 10 head of horses.  Big prairie views with beautiful wide open spaces and a 30 acre field of pink Sanfoin that grows up to your hips in late June.  Finally, our pond surrounded by big beautiful cottonwoods and our 100 year old tree row make some of the best wedding photo ops for you to treasure.

Sunset pictures are the best atop the big beautiful butte just on the west side of the venue. 

Our deck looks out over the beautiful basin valley with her buttes and prairies spanning for miles.

• Access to the venue from 9am-midnight (unless otherwise specified during your consultation) 
• Custom burnt wood farm style tables and farmhouse modern metal chairs for up to 200 guests (16 barn wood tables, 14 round tables, 7 round wood tables, 4 specialty tables) 
• Onsite parking
• Depending upon the occasion*, make use of our beautiful Bridal Suite, Gentlemen's quarters, or Green Room; as well as our prep kitchen (open to outside caterer use) and our cash or hosted full  service, liquor, beer, wine and more bar (bartender/s included).
• *If hosting a wedding, Prairie Sky Venue also includes: 
• A beautiful ceremony site with arbor 
• Seating options overlooking expansive panoramic views of the breathtaking prairie hills and buttes 
• 75 foot deck & outdoor patio
• Setup and tear down of tables and chairs

*Trash and decor removal are the responsibility of the renter unless otherwise stated in the agreement

• PLEASE NOTE: Our venue rental price is all-inclusive of every feature listed above. However, price does NOT include event coordination & decorating. Some of these services can be arranged for an additional cost. Please contact us if you are interested!

• A nonrefundable $1,000 (unless otherwise stated in Event Agreement) is required in order for us to be able to officially reserve your event date.
• A credit card must be put on file at Prairie Sky at least 30 days before scheduled event date. The card will not be charged after the event if the property is properly cleaned up and no damages have occurred. Otherwise, an itemized statement will be sent to the renter and the card will be used to cover itemized costs.

• Prairie Sky has several beautiful ceremony site options. Our Prairie Ceremony Spot is included with the price of your wedding rental package. The Prairie Butte and the Homestead are additional purchase options. Surrounded by the rugged beauty of Northeastern Wyoming’s Prairie Buttes, each ceremony viewpoint is bound to make your day beautiful. Your rental package includes a beautiful arbor and plenty of seating for your guests. 

• At Prairie Sky we consider your fur babies as family! We would love for your pet(s) to be apart of your celebration! However, we can only allow your pet(s) on the Prairie Sky premises during the ceremony portion of your event. Additionally, we will hold you responsible for cleaning up after and caring for your pet(s) during their time with you at Prairie Sky. If you'd like your pet(s) to attend your celebration, please feel free to reach out to our team and notify us PRIOR to your event day for pre-approval!

• Unless a different time is agreed upon in advance, you will have access to the venue at 9:00 am on the morning of your event to begin setup and preparation.

• We want to make a reality of your creative vision, so let your creativity flow! But please note our restrictions. We ask that only air-filled balloons be used for decoration inside of Prairie Sky. Please refrain from using staples, tape, or harmful adhesives on the walls, ceiling, and furnishings of Prairie Sky. Any and all candles must be covered or in a container when lit. Taper candles are allowed, however, they need to have a “hurricane vase covering the flame and something at the base to catch the wax. If wax spills/drips you will be responsible for cleaning and/or damages caused.
• We ask that all decor be removed from the Prairie Sky property by midnight the night of your event. If you're in doubt or have any questions, feel free to contact us!

• Yes, Prairie Sky does have an indoor-only PA system. However, it is set up to be used only for announcements and background music during dinner and decorating; it is not meant to replace a DJ.  If you are searching for a DJ ask us about our all inclusive package that includes a DJ, coordinator and decor. 

• Yes! We welcome all caterers.  We do ask that all caterers carry insurance, as Prairie Sky is not liable for any actions of caterers or other vendors.
• Under NO circumstances may outside alcoholic beverages be brought onto the Prairie Sky premises.

• Prairie Sky is able to provide pre-ordered, elegant dishes and flatware all of which are disposable.  Check out our serving package.

• Each of our beautiful custom barnwood tables are 8 feet long and 3.5 feet wide, seat approx. 4 people on each side and 1 on each end. To seat up to 160 guests, Prairie Sky will provide 16 burntwood tables and 14 round tables (for which linen will be provided). All barnwood tables must be used before using rounds.
• Tables may be used for other purposes during your event such as for displays, gifts, and cakes.

• Prairie Sky Venue offers a fully stocked (cash or host)bar.  Unlike many wedding venues we offer a full bar not just beer, wine and wine spirits, but also hard liquor.  Bartender/s are included in the cost of your rental. No outside alcoholic beverages are allowed on premises under any circumstances. For more information or a beverage menu, feel free to inquire!

• Our facility must be locked by midnight (12:00 AM) the evening of your event. All visitors (renters included) should be exiting the premises by this time. Because of this, we recommend shutting your dance down by 11:15 PM in order to allow enough time for removing your decorations, DJ tear down, and any cleaning.

• Renter is responsible for all removal of trash and personal decor unless otherwise stated in the agreement.  Cleaning is the responsibility of Prairie Sky and is included in your package.  If trash is not removed and excessive cleaning is required an itemized invoice will be sent and the credit card on file will be charged for the clean up.  All tear down of personal items and removal of trash must be completed before leaving (at 12:00 AM), including: removal of all decorations, gifts, and personal property; as well as pickup of garbage, florals, flower petals, empty bottles, food or drinks, candy on the floor, parking lot trash, and cigarette butts.

•  Sometimes my truck gets drunk…can he sleep over?  Sure, he can stay, however this action is taken at renter's discretion. Prairie Sky is not a gated property, and we are not liable for any potential thefts or damages. We prefer everything to be removed by midnight the night of your event, if possible. Cars do need to be removed by noon the next day in order to make room for the next event.  No campers or motor homes are allowed onsite unless pre-approved, and they still need to be removed by midnight. 

•   There are a few different options for hosting your rehearsal here at Prairie Sky!
• If there is an event the day before, you are still able to have your rehearsal on Prairie Sky grounds, we will just make accommodations with you for an hour long rehearsal either at the Homestead, or at one of the two outdoor ceremony spots.
• Another option is to have a quick run-through in the morning on the day of your wedding.

• Yes! We offer a Day of Coordination package as an add-on and is exclusive for only Prairie Sky clients. If you are interested in learning more about what is included in our Day of Coordination package inquire today!

• We have 3 different packages and pricing to choose from. Please inquire to get more info

•  Yes! We have a gorgeous bridal suite with heating and air, private bathroom, multiple sinks and makeup bar and enough outlets to accommodate your bridal party! The perfect space for the bride and her bridal party to get ready for the big day.
   

• We do.  In 2022 we introduced our school room suites.  The north wing of Prairie Sky Venue used to be a school some years ago.  We converted those rooms into sleeping suites.  We can accommodate up to 30 people in the sleeping suites.  
• We also have a guest house on the property that has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate 10 guests.  
• As well, we have a full RV hook up that can accommodate 1 RV. 
• Surrounding us is two more air bnb’s within 1 mile of the venue and an RV park ¼ mile down the road at Our Wyoming Life that hosts 10 RV spots via Harvest Hosts.
